Today I am grateful for too much. One of my projects since faire ended has been weeding through my stuff and deciding what to get rid of. Because there is excess. Oh so much excess stuff in my house.

I’m grateful that I have stuff. I’m grateful that I have too much stuff. And I’m grateful that I’ve started doing something about it.

Today I am thankful for heat and electricity. I have friends who just got their electricity back after three days without power. I’m a city girl, so when people mention that losing power means losing water too because they’re on a well, I realize how good I’ve had it most of my life. Today I am thankful for naps. Such a little thing. I never appreciated them when I was a child. But now? Naps are wonderful. I've had two this weekend. And I suspect that with Thanksgiving on the horizon, that there might be one or two more in my future this week.

Today I am thankful, oh so freaking thankful, for vacation time. I’m off work until Tuesday December 2nd. And ye gods, do I really need some time away from work right now.
